9 to 5

Dee headed back out on the road with the First National Tour of the hit Broadway musical 9 to 5. She starred as Violet, the role made famous by Lily Tomlin in the 1980 film that the musical is based on. With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and libretto by Patricia Resnick, the tour was directed and choreographed by Jeff Calhoun. Bye Bye Birdie

Dee returned to Broadway as Mrs. MacAfee in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of the Tony-award winning musical Bye Bye Birdie. Directed and choreographed by Robert Longbottom, the show played at the newly restored Henry Miller’s Theatre on West 43rd Street. 42nd Street at the St. Louis MUNY

This summer Dee will be returning to the St. Louis MUNY to play Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street. Directed by Lee Roy Reems with choreography by Kelli Barclay, the production will also feature Robert Cuccioli as Julian Marsh.

Saving Aimee

Dee reprised her role in a reading of Kathie Lee Gifford, David Friedman, and David Pomerantz’s Saving Aimee. This reading was directed by Graciela Daniele and music directed by Paul Raiman.
Stormy Weather

Dee joins Leslie Uggams in the new musical biography of entertainer Lena Horne entitled, Stormy Weather. Produced by the Pasadena Playhouse in California, the musical was conceived and written by Sharleen Cooper Cohen (based on the book Lena Horne Entertainer, published by Chelsea House) and features direction by Michael Bush and choreography by Randy Skinner.
